Tran Siu (born 17 Dec 1984) is an affluent Melbourne business identity best known for being the first Chinese Vietnamese Ward Councilor,[1] and Deputy Mayor of Brimbank.[2] He is also the Chairman of CBC Yacht Club.

Early life and career

In 2002, Tran Siu achieved the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) achiever award[3] for his commitment to making a difference for young people[4] He also won the Youth of the Year quest through the Sunshine Lions Club in the year 2002. He was responsible to re-form the Sunshine Traders Group (STG) to the new Sunshine Business Association (SBA).

Tran Siu's primary goal is to boost the financial situation of Brimbank's Vietnamese population. He has supported groups like Children's Bioethics Development Board of the Royal Melbourne Children's Hospital,[5][6][9] the Melbourne Chinatown Precinct Association, The Lions Club, Rotary Club, Amnesty International, the YMCA, World Vision, Boccia Victoria along with the Brimbank Council Tran Siu made a special appearance in the Australian TV show, The Jigsaw Puzzle as a Police officer.[7]
