Joint Task Force Guantanamo counter-terrorism analysts reported that an individual named Mohammed Ibrahim was appointed the Taliban Deputy Director of Intelligence.[1]

Notably, when they prepared the factors favoring the continued detention of Mohamed Rahim, the analysts attributed his appointment to a member of al Qaeda, named Mullah Wasiq, not to the Taliban's own leadership structure.[1] They asserted that Mohamed Rahim, who had acknowledged working for a Mohammed Ibrahim, had served as the assistant for the Mohammed Ibrahim they asserted was the Taliban Deputy Director of Intelligence.
