Matthew McLauchlin (born October 14, 1981[1])is the Canadian federal NDP candidate who ran in the riding of Jeanne-Le Ber in Montreal, Quebec in the 2006 election. He is openly gay and is also an avid enthusiast of the Montreal Metro. He holds a B.A. in linguistics from McGill University, and is the former Jeanne-Le Ber NDP riding association president. He is an Esperantist, and has translated much from English to the international language.[2]
