Cerberus is a creature from Greek mythology, depicted as a massive, three-headed dog who guards the entrance to the Underworld. The name has also been applied to various other identical creatures in works of fiction.

The Transformers character of Bruticus was originally known-and in some media still is known-as Cerberus, and his beast form is a Techno-organic version of the mythological species.

My Little Pony

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic also features a creature/character named Cerberus, who is heavily inspired by the mythological creature; instead of the Underworld it guards the subterranean prison of Tartarus.
