Calvin Lo (Chinese: 盧啟賢) is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist from Hong Kong.
Career
Calvin Lo is the Chief Executive Officer of R.E. Lee International, a life insurance brokerage firm founded in 1954.[1][2][3][4]
Wealth and philanthropy
In 2022, Lo’s estimated personal net worth is US$2 billion.[5][6][7][8] Further, Lo set up The 195 Project in 2020, a non-profit think tank to support his personal charity foundation.[9][10][11]
Lo was a board member of the Jane Goodall Institute from 2006 to 2018.[7][12][13]
Controversy
In 2023, Forbes published an article that attempted to smear Lo’s reputation and cast doubt on his wealth; Lo refuted the claims and filed a complaint with the Royal Thai Police against the authors, alleging invasion of privacy, misrepresentation of information, and defamation.[14][15][16]
