Attack of the 50 Foot Guardian is a fictional story in the Transformers: Renegade Rhetoric series episode 36. Written in 2015, it retroactively took place in an unaired second season of the Challenge of the GoBots animated series.

Synopsis

A Renegade attack leads to an accident which makes Scooter gigantic. Hilarity ensues.

The following was first posted on the Renegade Rhetoric Facebook page on December 22nd, 2015.

Question: Dear Cy-Kill, Who is the biggest GoBot, Guardian or Renegade?

Cy-Kill: That would be Scooter. At least, it was briefly.

You see, Doctors Shafto and Marley at Cambridge University had developed an electronic growth serum, and I was determined to acquire it to aid in my forthcoming attack on the Tevatron at Fermilab in Illinois. Cop-Tur, Crasher, and I attacked the University, but Nick and Scooter were there, touring colleges. They grabbed the serum and fled, necessitating that I use the astro-beam to quickly summon Klaws and Slicks to run down the wayward pair before Guardian reinforcements could arrive. Slicks and Crasher cornered the diminutive roach, but as they tried to extract the serum from him it spilled all over him, causing him to increase in size eightfold. The little runt shot up to nearly a hundred feet tall!

Nick took the two doctors, Bobbie and Elsie, back to UNECOM headquarters in the United States, where they worked frantically for a cure. Scooter despaired of ever being able to have a normal life again, and further kept breaking things and knocking over buildings. When he nearly stepped on Matt, he decided to exile himself into the wilderness where he could do no harm.

Small Foot in Challenge of the GoBots

Meanwhile, my attack on Fermilab went brilliantly. I unleashed a pair of Zods on the facility to draw out the Guardian defenders, then had Klaws and Cop-Tur sweep down on them from above and blast them into unconsciousness. We swooped in, determined to destroy the largest particle accelerator in the world and set back human science for decades. Leader-1, Turbo, and Small Foot did their best to stop us, but they were outnumbered and outclassed.

Unexpectedly, Scooter arrived just as Leader-1's force field faltered. He picked up the two Zods and smashed them together like tinkertoys! Knowing we could never stand up to that juggernaut, now that he had found his confidence again, I sounded a retreat.

Would you believe the fool took advantage of the cure the two Doctors managed to concoct? Such sentimental nonsense is why the Renegades are destined to rule and the Guardians will be consigned to the junkyard of history. Mwah ha ha ha!

Notes

• On December 21st, 2015 the Ask Vector Prime Facebook page posted a fictional list of the unaired episodes of Challenge of the GoBots season 2, which listed "Attack of the 50 Foot Guardian" as season 2 episode 36, which was supposed to air October 23nd, 1986.
• Despite the title of this episode, Scooter is officially 2.8 meters tall normally, and increasing that eight fold would result in him being 73.8 feet tall.
