Andrew Glisson (November 15, 1984) is a successful real estate investor and entrepreneur known for buying and renovating single-family homes and duplexes to a high standard and then leasing them.[1]

Early life

Andrew Glisson was born in Memphis, Tennessee, USA . He is the founder and managing partner at Neighborhood Revival, a leading real estate brand. Andrew is known for renovating high-quality homes that feature top appliances close to other great city amenities. An industry guru, Andrew has transformed the brand by leveraging his versatile know-how, offering unmatched real estate properties supported by convenient utility management.[2]

Career

Before establishing Neighborhood Revival, Andrew was senior vice president for a Fortune 500 financial services firm as was living in Houston. He capitalized on the opportunity to learn more about real estate industry dynamics, anchoring a solid foundation to start his brand. He was driven by the desire to create a property management company to manage homes the way he wanted. With self-taught knowledge and a goal to achieve, Andrew kick-started the journey with zero homes, growing to own almost 200 properties, while selling some along the way.[3]

Andrew has since created a system that can buy over 50–70 homes a year, renovate to a high standard, and manage tenants, several million dollars in revenue, with only two full-time employees. It’s a testament to how he leverages technology to do better than everyone else in the industry. He has also developed an authentic and unique renovation process that is easy to train and duplicate. This has seen him work and collaborate with other like-minded investors and entrepreneurs.

His unparalleled work ethic has also allowed him to build industry trust that allows him to call to juggle responsibilities of discussing multimillion-dollar loan terms one minute, then training subcontractors the next minute. An industry leader, Andrew previously earned recognition as a Houston Top 30 Under 30 entrepreneur and has served on various non-profit and municipal boards.

Like any other entrepreneur, Andrew has also faced numerous challenges and hurdles. His most significant challenge was training contractors to do high-quality work. Most “flippers” don’t care about quality; it’s only cosmetic. Working with unscrupulous professionals forces him to take extra time on every project to get it right. To avert this, Andrew invests heavily in building the right team to tap into top-notch talent. This includes establishing good relationships with relevant neighborhood stakeholders.[4]

Andrew is now focused on growing and expanding his real estate business and gaining entry into other states. His goal is to save more neighborhoods and bring more people along for the ride.

Andrew’s advice to other aspiring real estate investors is that they endeavor to network. According to him, most big investors have already solved your problem, so strive to work with other like-minded individuals who will help you bring your dreams to life.[5]
