Dr. Amet Selman (د. احمد سلمان, born January 1, 1982) is a British Businessman[1] and Development executive. He is the chairman and CEO  of AAA Holding Group  Ltd.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

Early Life and Education

Dr. Amet was born to Abbas Selman and Tamina Badri in  Auckland, New Zealand.[12]

He completed his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Baghdad University in 2006.[13][14][15]

Career

Dr. Amet Selman is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of AAA Holding Group Ltd, a British fertilizer manufacturer and agriculture industry in the United Kingdom.[3][16][17][18][19][20]

On July  24, 2022, he collaborated with the Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Al-Khabbaz, and Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne IBBC president to inaugurate the first DAP fertilizer plant within the State Company for Fertiliser Industry Southern capacity 1.5 million ton per year; turnover 2022 was £ 277,000,000 as per the British Companies House public Record.

In 2023, Dr. Amet Selman expanded the industrial investment of fertilizers to include in Canada and America To support global food security based on sustainability, clean energy, and climate preservation.[21][22][23]

He is a Member of the British Conservative Party and Chairman of IBBC's Agritech Committee.[24][25][26][27][28]

In May 2024, Dr. Amet gave a keynote speech at International fertilizer association's (IFA) conference in Singapore.

Awards

Dr. Amet Selman was awarded the Rasmi Al Jabri Award by The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) for his achievement and performance as the CEO of AAA Holding Group Ltd.[29]

He was awarded the Medal of Honor from the US Airborne Forces for cooperating with the coalition forces in the reconstruction of Iraq.[30]

Humanitarian work

Dr. Amet, in charge of humanitarian efforts with the Amar Foundation, has collaborated with Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne to spearhead initiatives to help vulnerable communities in Ukraine and Iraq. Their joint efforts focus on several critical areas:

  • Assistance to Ukrainian People: Targeting the most vulnerable populations in Ukraine, they have implemented programs to provide essential aid, medical support, and disaster relief, addressing immediate needs and building resilience for the future.
  • Support for the Yazidis in Iraq: Recognizing the Yazidis' unique challenges and historical persecution, Dr. Amet and Baroness Nicholson have launched projects aimed at rehabilitation, community development, and protection of this minority group in Iraq.
  • Education in the Marshes of Iraq: They have undertaken significant efforts to improve education within Iraq's marsh regions. These efforts include building schools, training teachers, and developing curricula tailored to local needs and traditions, enabling children and adults to access quality education.[31]
  • Eradication of Illiteracy in Iraq: Acknowledging that illiteracy is a significant barrier to social and economic development, they have created literacy programs for adults and children. These programs focus on functional literacy, vocational skills, and empowerment, fostering self-sufficiency and community growth.

Personal Life

In 2005, Dr. Amet married Reggad Selman. They have four children: Mohaimen Selman, Mohammed Selman, Leah Selman, and Talya Selman. They live in Sunningdale, Royal Borough of Windsor, and Maidenhead, Berkshire, England.

He has two siblings, Sam Selman and Ihab Selman.
