Akhtar Hossain Azad

Akhtar Hossain Azad (also known as আখতার হোসেন আজাদ, born 19 November 1997) is a Bangladeshi writer, social activist, ict instructor. He is known for his writing on social and national crisis, food adultration and consumer rights.

Azad was born to Md. Mizanur Rahman and Most. Ambia Khatun in Chapainawabganj.

Early career

After high school in 2013 (SSC) and higher secondary studies in college (HSC) in 2015, Akhtar studied in Islamic University at Department of Public Administration. During his university life, Akhtar Hossain Azad was involved in the social voluntary organizations. At the same time, he started university journalism. In campus life, he was secretary of Rotaract Club of Islamic University (2018-19) [1], Unit council President of Islamic University Rover Scout Group (2019), Central Publicity Secretary of Consumer Youth Bangladesh (CYB).

He became involved in left-wing politics in his first year of university life. He is acting as the Vice President of Bangladesh Student Unity of Islamic University Branch. He is a favorite face of the students for leading in the realization of student rights.

Currently Akhtar working as the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Tarun Column Lekhok Forum (BTCLF). He is the founder president of Bangladesh Tarun Column Lekhok Forum (BTCLF) Islamic University branch. There are 17 branches of the organization in the public Universities of Bangladesh.
