Zeemon is a fictional character from the GoBots series introduced in 1984. He is a Guardian GoBot who (sometimes) turns into a car.

GoBots

Zeemon is a heroic Guardian GoBot, the first of the GoBeings to become a GoBot.

Abilities

Like most GoBots, Zeemon has numerous abilities because of his robotic body. He can survive in space and is super-humanly strong and tough. He can fly in robot mode and project energy blasts from his hands. His body heals quickly when supplied with energy. He once was able to turn into a car, but due to an injury he sustained in battle he is unable to change form any more.

Reception

Fictional biography

Totally awesome and awfully strong, Zeemon is prepared to fight to the bitter end. He's not about to let the enemy GoBots rule the Earth-or any other planet.

Animated series

Zeemon in Challenge of the GoBots

Zeemon appears in Challenge of the GoBots episode 1, "Battle for GoBotron". He is among the leaders of the Guardians planning to stop the Renegades. It should be noted that due to animation errors the Renegade Herr Fiend appears identical to Zeemon in the pilot series.

Zeemon appears in "Lost on GoBotron" episode 6.

Zeemon appears in "Nova Beam" episode 13 working with Staks and Pathfinder on GoBotron when information came in that the sun of the planet Nirolac had become unstable.

In episode 16 "Doppelganger" Cy-Kill, Cop-Tur, Crasher and Snoop attack Leader-1, Turbo, Scooter and Small Foot on Earth. Crasher wounds Small Foot. After attaining recordings of the Guardians the Renegades retreated. Using the recordings Cy-Kill has Dr. Go program robot duplicates of the Guardians. Demonstrating Space Bender weapon to Unecom, Leader-1 learns that the Renegades are attacking Washington. The Renegades ambush Leader-1 and replace him with his duplicate. Leading the Command Center back to GoBotron and getting rid of Scooter and Small Foot the Renegades release duplicates of Path Finder, Rest-Q, Van Guard and Turbo. Small Foot and Scooter are able to capture the Turbo duplicate and learn where their friends are being held. Cy-Kill replaces Good Knight. Using the duplicate Turbo the Guardians infiltrate the Renegade base, free the captured Guardians and escape from the Renegade guards Spoons and Fitor. Although blocked by the Renegades, Scooter uses a hologram of Zod to make the Renegades flee. Making it back to GoBotron the Guardians are attacked by the Guardian duplicates. The real Guardians are able to defeat their duplicates with the aid of the real Zeemon, Hans-Cuff and Rest-Q. Cy-Kill arrives in Thrustor with more duplicates, but Small Foot is able to stop with robots using the Space Bender, which fuses their robot brains. [1]

Zeemon appears in "Genius and Son" episode 17. He plans to surrender the planet to Cy-Kill to avoid it being destroyed by the Renegade.

Zeemon appeared in episode 26, "The Quest for Roguestar".[2]

In episode 42, "The GoBot Who Cried Renegade", Heat Seeker, Rest-Q, Spay-C and Zeemon were on the the GoBot Spa Moon when a Renegade attack false alarm was sounded.

In episode 49, "Fitor to the Finish", Zeemon took custody of the captured Renegade Fitor on GoBotron. Aiding Zeemon with the prisoner were the Guardian troopers Blaster, Dive-Dive, Heat Seeker, Night Ranger and Staks.

Zeemon appeared in episode 52, "A New Suit For Leader-1".[3]

Zeemon appears in "Et Tu Cy-Kill?" episode 64.

Comics

Fun Publications

Echoverse

Zeemon was featured in the 2016 Ask Vector Prime story Echoes and Fragments, set during the events of The Transformers: The Movie. The manipulations of the evil Gong and Sideways resulted in various GoBots swapping places with characters during the events of that film. Zeemon was winning a game of Tadek with Vec-Tor when Vector was informed by his brother that someone was intent on tampering with the Omega Lock. [4]

Rhetoricverse

While doing his "Renegade Rhetoric" column in Axiom Nexus, Cy-Kill repeatedly expressed disdain for Zeemon.

Zeemon appeared in the Transformers: Renegade Rhetoric episode 1 story "Rebels Without a Circuit" by Fun Publications.[5]

Zeemon appeared in the episode 2 story "Fugitives".[6]

Zeemon appeared in episode 11 "On the Rocks".[7]

Zeemon appeared in the episode 35 story "Trash and Treachery". In the story Zero and the Master Renegade attacked the Guardian Counsil super-algae, but the Renegades were defeated by Leader-1.[8]

He once dispatched the Dread Launchers to kidnap the statesman, only to be foiled by the Secret Riders (and Cop-Tur's bumbling).

Telepictures Publications

According to the questions and answers section in the Fall 1986 issue of GoBots magazine, Zeemon was the first GoBot built.
