Wiktionary
Wiktionary is a wiki dictionary created by the Wikimedia Foundation in late 2002. It is a collection of entries for terms (including words, phrases, proverbs, etc.) in over 4,500 languages.[1] The entries may contain definitions, pronunciation guides, inflections, usage examples, related terms, images for illustration, among other features.
Although Wiktionary claims to cover "all words in all languages", this is technically and actually wrong. Wiktionary covers not only words, but also terms that include more than one word, such as phrases ("make amends") and proverbs ("the shoemaker's children go barefoot"). According to its own criteria it does limit which languages should be covered, as constructed languages (except Esperanto, Ido, Interlingua, Interlingue, Volapük and Novial) are excluded. It also has policies limiting the inclusion of non-widespread terms and too specific proper nouns.
