About

Warah is one of the leading fashion labels of Bangladesh, which has made a name for its emphasis on working solely with locally sourced materials. This sustainable brand carries comfort and utility with a creative, cosmopolitan outlook, conceptualizing ideas and designs to suit your mood everyday without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for a versatile wardrobe that brings you the most mileage, look no further.

Warah, a picturesque boutique in the heart of town, provides a wide range of choices. Step into a soothing sanctuary with a relaxing ambience, and browse the well-stocked racks. You will find colour, you will find texture, and comfort, but above all, you will see that the designs are built on a backbone of organic, locally sourced khadi, the well-regarded golden fiber our country is known for. Sharp silhouettes, soothing shades, and sustainable fabric worked into a variety of ethnicwear outfits that can take you from work to social events; Warah has everything a modern woman is asking for.

Warah started its journey in 2008, but the journey was not without its challenges. Within a few years of opening the first outlet, the tragedy of the Holy Artisan attack forced founder Rumana Chowdhury to close it down. But Rumana did not let this setback defeat her. She shifted operations to a smaller outlet and began again. The demand for her designs grew, as did her business and client base, and early last year, she moved Warah into its present location. Still in Banani, the new shop offers the space that matches the luxury of its products.

Today, Warah is a well-known name in design circles in Bangladesh. And beyond one can say, as her clothes have been shipped to the USA, UK, Australia, Korea, Romania, Hungary, Italy and Cambodia to name but a few. Warah’s outfits are often featured in newspapers and fashion magazines. Rumana went on to win the first Platinum Woman of the Year award from City Alo Colors magazine.

Warah strives to design clothes that instill self-confidence. Clarity is what aspires Warah and we aim to create a fashion for those who like to differentiate themselves from the rest. Warah is trying to rejuvenate ideas for the revival of contemporary Bangladeshi life. Warah's design is unique and clothing is for women of all ages, style, quality and refinement are Warah’s signature symbols.
