War Hawk is a fictional character and third party Transformer created by Unique Toys in 2013 as an homage to the 1986 Transformer Divebomb.

Unique Toys

War Hawk is a third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Divebomb created by Unique Toys. He turns from robot humanoid to eagle and becomes the left arm of War Lord.

War Hawk has the same alternate mode and colors as Divebomb. His tech specs numbers are nearly the same as Divebomb, but with a slightly higher endurance.

A co-sell for War Hawk is found on the side of the box for Ironhead, which reveals War Hawk's motto.

Other third party Transformer homages to Divebomb include Mastermind Creations Talon.

Development

The Beasticons are based on Takara art of Predaking that was printed in Comic Bon Bon magazine and a custom created by TFW2005 member rosedjs.[1]

The biography for War Hawk was written by C Z Hazard.

Prototype pictures of War Hawk were released on the internet in December 2012.[2]

Robot Kingdom released comparison photos of War Leo and War Hawk with TFC Toys Structor and Classic Ultra Magnus.[3]

Fictional biography

From the box: No member of the War Hawk has struggled with a sense of identity quite like War Hawk. It's been millennia since he replaced him name with that of one of the few airborne RoBots - so insecure was he that he refused to share the air with an enemy, choosing instead to disgrace his opposite number and try to adopt a new identity for himself.

Extended: No member of the Beasticons has struggled with a sense of identity quite like War Hawk. It’s been millennia since he replaced his name with that of one of the few airborne RoBots – so insecure was he that he refused to share the air with an enemy, choosing instead to disgrace his opposite number and try to adopt a new identity for himself.

His skills as a tracker are without par, but in order to do his job effectively he calls in his prey as soon as he spots them, meaning his team-mates often corner their prey and capture/slaughter them before War Hawk can land. Several Beasticons have mentioned - perhaps jokingly - how convenient the timing is, with War Hawk often missing out on “the kill”, but if he didn’t call in their prey on sight he fears he would be accused of not being a team player, or worse, a bad tracker. Over the millennia, this perceived slight has worn on him.

It’s gotten to the point that the RoCons he shares a team with couldn’t be a worse fit for him: five alpha personalities, all striving to be the best; the best fighter, the best stalker, the most vicious, the most moody, but most importantly; the best Beasticon. Considering it is a supposed group of kindred spirits, War Hawk couldn’t be more alone, and he doesn’t feel any more at peace as a member of the combined War Lord.

The only solace War Hawk has is the fact he is unique amongst his team, in that he has the ability of flight. If he ever lost this freedom, he would no doubt lose himself.
