Vinny Lobdell
Vinny Lobdell is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the founder and past president of HealthWay and Intellipure Inc, an angel investor for Nelogram,[1][2] global president of Pure Wellness,[3] and the owner of the Kallet Theater.[4]
Early life and education
Lobdell grew up in Pulaski, NY. He attended Oswego State for four years focusing on Marketing and Economics. Later, he received an entrepreneurial master's in partnership with the Entrepreneurs Association at MIT.[5]
Career
Together with his father Vince, Lobdell started HealthWay family of Brands, a Pulaski-based family-owned company offering advanced air purification solutions worldwide for residential and commercial spaces founded in 2013.
Vince Lobdell started his journey of searching, developing, and perfecting air purification systems in 1981. He tested every technology, from UV to HEPA. In 2010, through a United States Military grant, he developed HealthWay’s patented DFS Technology.[6] Developing a passion and expertise in Indoor Air Quality over the past two decades, Lobdell has traveled to fifty countries speaking to industry leaders, governments, and medical professionals on air pollution and the harmful effects of occupying the built environments.[7]
As the head of Heathway Vinny expanded the company exponentially during the COVID-19 pandemic and sold it to a private equity firm for an undisclosed amount in 2019. The family still maintains a minority stake in the company.[8] Lobdell took a leadership role as President at HealthWay Family of Brands in 2008, after which the company was named to the Inc 500 list of fastest-growing companies in America. In 2017, Lobdell co-founded Intellipure, a B2C brand emphasizing customer experience through handcrafted, high-efficiency, and individually certified air cleaning systems.[9]
In 2011, Lobdell obtained the Kallet Theatre, which operated as a cinema and meeting house until it closed in 1984.
In 2014, Lobdell joined ARIIX Scientific Advisory Board.[10]
Social contributions
In November 2022, The Lobdell family of Pulaski donated $1 million to Oswego Health’s Lakeview Center for Mental Health & Wellness.[11]
In August 2020, Lobdell wrote a six-figure check to start 315 Foundation for SU Athletics, CNY,[12] a collective to enable Syracuse University coaches to better compete for players in the new world of NIL.[13]
In June 2020, the Lobdell family announced a $250 gift to each of Pulaski’s 85 high school seniors.[14]
In 2017, Lobdell purchased and completely renovated the abandoned Ontario Iron Works facility as a giveback to his hometown.[15]
Personal life
Lobdell was born to Vince Lobdell and Nancy. He has a younger sister named Amy.[16] His older brother Rusty Lobdell died by suicide at 19 after struggling with Schizophrenia.[17]
