wikipedia revision history

I see you have been porting entire Wikipedia articles here, which is allowed, provided you don't violate the intellectual property rights of the original Wikipedia contributors.

I am blocking you, indefinitely, because you did this, again, and again, without honoring the intellectual property rights the original Wikipedia contributors retain.

I will unblock you, if you can show, in your reply here on your user talk page, that you understand what you have to do to honor those intellectual property rights.

  1. articles ported from the Wikipedia must have {{wp-cca}}, as a top note.
  2. the article's talk page has to list every Wikipedia contributor, because one of the intellectual property rights Wikipedia contributions retain is the right of the contributor to have their work acknowledged.
  3. remove or rewrite any passage that rely on a template present on the Wikipedia, but not present here.
  4. upload any images the article relies on, or a smaller version of that image - or, alternatively, remove the image from the article.

I am assuming you made this mistake, in good faith. However, cleaning up after this kind of port is hard work, hence the immediate block, without warning. You don't get re-instated unless I know you won't do this again. Geo Swan (talk) 13:32, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
