Urualla is a big town in IDEATOR Local Government Area of Imo State, in Nigeria.

History

DUBEM UZOMBA, a Writer,Blogger, Historian, Comedian and songwriter from Urualla clan came up with the following findings:

"MBIAGU, THE GREAT HUNTER WAS SAID TO HAVE MIGRATED FROM ACHINA, A VILLAGE IN THE PRESENT DAY ANAMBRA STATE OF NIGERIA. HE WAS A HUNTER BY PROFESSION, THOUGH FARMING WAS THE OCCUPATION OF EVERYONE AT THAT TIME AS MOST MEN ENGAGED IN POLYGAMOUS FAMILY SO AS TO HAVE MANY CHILDREN THAT WILL HELP IN Farming".

MBIAGU also called OKOLI Mpiagu As discussed in THOMAS NDUBUIZU's Book heroes and heroines of Urualla was said to be a Prince and a heir Apparent to the throne of his father in Achina or Somewhere around Achina, While many historians argued that he might be a brother to Achina.

On the death of their father, the elders and king makers asked him and his younger brother to get a lion's horn, with which their father the king shall be buried. This great conspiracy was in order to take him off from ascending the throne in favor of his Younger brother, because they knew very well that there was no lion with horns.

Okoli Mpiagu, went in-search of a lion's horn. He traveled about 30 kilometers away from his place of birth, the elders of his community waited for him, until it was obvious to them that he would not return, or rather had been over powered by some wild animals. So they had no other option than to crown his younger brother King, who had already brought to them a carved lion with horns with which the king was buried, because it is an abormination to kill a lion in the kingdom, Mbiagu still on search for the lion with horns but to no avail, till he reached to a land which was mainly inhabited by lions of different species, some which has now gone to extinct, unlike the inhospitable Character with which these carnivorous animals are known, these animals never hurt nor show any sign of hostility to Mbiagu, they ran to him waving their tails as a sign of welcome to the strange creature around them.

Mbiagu was not surprised by this actions, because in his place of birth lions do not eat nor eaten by any member of his Clan. Mbiagu cleared a certain bush and decided to rest there for a while, in the dawn of the next day he made a plantation of yam which was the remains of the food he took along with him, as he sojourned for the great task. Yam is also the major food in vogue at that time as one's wealth is measured by the size of his yam ban. This species of yam is called Jimbụ ala.

Mbiagu hunted for a horned Lions, in this lion inhabited forest , but he never saw any, until he realized he was tricked. he decided to return back to his hometown on returning home, he found out that his younger brother has been crowned king. He angrily went on self exile due to the insult and mockery surrounding his myopic search for a lion with horns. People even changed his name to okoli Mpiagu, meaning Okoli who went on search of a lion with horns.

Mbiagu returned back to the land inhabited by friendly lions, he took along with him 'Enem' his personal Chi and Nneoti his ọfọ as he moves back to his new found home and to his greatest amazement the yam he planted previously has blossomed so well. so he decided to settle there permanently, after naming the area Uru ala, Meaning, "Land of gain and Profit,." Mbirimbiagụ meaning the land where lion's hostility is not active. Or the antedote of lion's hostility. Uru ala Ebe Ike agu nọrọ gwụ.
