Trey Wheeler

James ‘Trey’ Wheeler III (born 15 October) is an American football player who plays for the West Texas Warbirds in the Champions Indoor Football League]]. He plays at the cornerback position.[1]
During college, Trey ranked at number 7 in Division 1 in number of passes defended per game (1.500).[2]
Career
Wheeler started his football career in 2016 when he joined Independence Community College team in 2016 during third season of Last Chance U and was red-shirted due to out of state rules.
In 2017, he was transferred to Ottawa Braves Football of Ottawa University and played twenty games for the team between 2017 and 2019.[3][1] In twenty Ottawa matches, Trey completed eight interceptions, forty-seven tackles, and twenty-four pbu’s.[1] He has also captained Ottawa team.
In June 2021, he joined the West Texas Warbirds where he currently plays as cornerback.[1]
