Hello, Example, and welcome to Wikialpha! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

WikiAlpha is an open encyclopedia, journal and news source. Unlike Wikipedia, WikiAlpha has no notability requirements, and accepts articles on all topics which are legal including news, original research, humour, internet phenomena, websites, blogs, and projects. In addition, original research, which is fundamentally forbidden from Wikipedia, is permitted on WikiAlpha.

As such, WikiAlpha's deletion criteria is also quite simpler than Wikipedia's. Basically, any content that does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion is likely to remain on the site forever. However, purely promotional content is not acceptable.

As an example, an article on the online gaming term ganking was deleted from Wikipedia for being a neologism with a few independent sources, but an article on the same subject exists on WikiAlpha without controversy.

Although WikiAlpha does not have requirements for notability, sources are still required, otherwise material may be challenged and/or removed by other editors.

WikiAlpha has a collection of articles which are identical copies of articles listed for deletion on Wikipedia. Click here for a full list of deleted articles which you may be able to help bring up to WikiAlpha's inclusion standards.
