An synthcell is a cluster of data which is which inhabit virtual spaces, such as Vaporlink or the highly calibrated systems of a mobile suit. Synthcells are human conciousness which have been transferred from an organic body to a computational substrate. As such, they not only retain the original person's memories and personality, but also possess abilities comparable to that of a Newtype.
