Swiss School of Business Research (SSBR) is a private business school located in Zurich and Barcelona, offering academic programs such as Bachelor in Business Administration, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and Master's degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Tourism & Hospitality, and Sports Management.

Formed in June 2020, Swiss School of Business Research brings a wealth of experience from its directors and professors who represent 100s of years of experience working in higher education institutions all around the world.

Academic Programs

At Swiss School of Business Research (SSBR), a diverse array of academic programs is available, including undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Tourism & Hospitality Management. Additionally, there are Master's degrees in Business Administration (MBA), Tourism & Hospitality, and Sports Management. SSBR also offers various doctoral programs, such as a PhD in Management, Doctorate in Business Administration, and a specialized program for seasoned professionals known as PhD by Portfolio.

The innovative PhD by Portfolio, a distinctive approach to earning a doctorate, can be completed within one year without the need for traditional research. This program caters to professionals with extensive experience, allowing them to showcase their skills. Candidates receive academic recognition for existing research, comprehensive research skills, and a high level of professional subject knowledge. The remote nature of the program is ideal for busy executives who cannot take time away from work, requiring candidates to demonstrate at least 5 to 10 years of strategic management experience.

All programs at SSBR are conducted in English, and some degrees offer a dual-degree option in collaboration with Horizons University in Paris, France.

The professors are seasoned individuals with backgrounds from Harvard, LSE, ESADE, University of Exeter, Georgia State University, Open University (UK), Loughborough University of Technology, University of San Francisco, Universidad Latina, among others.

Accreditations

In October 2020, SSBR achieved certification from EduQua, Switzerland's national quality assurance body, marking the first Swiss quality label tailored for adult continuing education. EduQua, recognized and supported by the Swiss Confederate Government, stands as the premier quality certification for both public and private educational institutions in Switzerland.

SSBR holds accreditation from the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges, and Universities (ASIC). ASIC, acknowledged by UKVI in the UK, is part of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) in the USA. It is listed in their International Directory and affiliated with the British Quality Foundation (BQF), ENQA (European Network for Quality Assurance), and institutional membership in EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network). SSBR is also an Authorized Learning Centre by OTHM in the United Kingdom, an Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation).

Additionally, SSBR obtained full accreditation status with the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) in May 2023. QAHE, an independent international organization, specializes in accrediting Higher Education Institutions, recognizing research performances, student services, and teaching quality to instill public confidence and support the global development of quality assurance systems.

Authorized by the Canton of Zurich, SSBR adheres to quality standards in adult education, ensuring compliance with cantonal regulations. The Canton authorizes SSBR to confer bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees.

SSBR serves as a certified OTHM learning centre, enabling graduates to acquire Level 4 to 7 (for masters) or Level 8 (for doctorate) OTHM Diploma in Management, officially recognized by OFQUAL in the UK. This facilitates the completion of a top-up year in leading UK universities, allowing students to earn a double bachelor's degree.

As an Educational Member of the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE), SSBR's commitment to excellence in business education is affirmed through meeting IACBE's stringent requirements.

Moreover, Swiss School of Business Research holds accreditation from the British Council, the United Kingdom's international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities.
