Sanders Collection
Sanders Collection is an American company based in Blauvelt, New York that manufactures furniture, bedding, comforters, and other household goods.[1][2][3] Sanders Collection is a family-owned business founded in 1972 by Martin Reisman, whose son, Emmanuel Reisman, serves as the company’s current CEO.[1][2] Its subsidiaries include Sleeptone (and its associated philanthropic foundation), Clara Clark, Goto Bedding, and Phoenix Mattresses.[1]
Sanders provides their products at wholesale pricing at Cloud 9, so that the Non Profit Organizations can sell and keep all the profits.
History
The Reisman family’s involvement in textiles began when Jacob Reisman starting a quilting shop in 1952.[2] Martin Reisman decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, founding his own quilting factory in 1972.[2] Reisman moved from Brooklyn to Edison, New Jersey in 1985.[2] Reisman grew the company by providing textile products such as comforters and bedsheets to retailers such as Macy’s and Walmart.[2]
Reisman pivoted the company’s focus from manufacturing to imports in 1995, shutting down its factory in favor of joining the import industry.[2] In 2009, Emmanuel Reisman joined the company as its CEO, eventually incorporating the company under the name “Sanders Collection.”[2] In 2020, Emmanuel Reisman also founded the Sleeptone Foundation, also known as the Sleeptone Philanthropic Fund, which donates textile products to organizations serving the homeless, and also conducts fundraising efforts to end homelessness.[1][2][4]
As of 2023, Sanders Collection is based in Blauvelt, New York and employs around 150 employees.[2] Their New York showroom is open to the public, and they have state-of-the-art warehouses in upstate New York, New Jersey, and Los Angeles.
Products and services
Sanders Collection sells products direct to consumer, and in bulk (wholesale) through many of its brands, including Clara Clark, Sleeptone, Go To Bedding, and more.[1] They pay special attention to quality, and many of their brands carry various certifications. For example, the foam used in Sanders Collection products has been certified by the CertiPUR-US program.[5]
The Clara Clark brand sells entry-level wholesale products to clients in the hospitality industry, such as owners of Airbnb properties, motels, inns, and bed-and-breakfast establishments.[1]
The Sleeptone brand manufactures luxury bedding products for clients such as Fortune 500 companies, retailers, schools, and government organizations.[1][4]
Sanders Collection’s Phoenix Mattresses brand is known for its flagship product, the Phoenix ISelect adjustable comfort mattress, which allows users who share a bed to customize the level of firmness on their side of the mattress.[1][6]
The Goto Bedding brand sells affordable comfort and bedding products such as down pillows, pillow cases, and bed frames.[1][7]
