Samantha Jane
Samantha-Jane Agbontaen is a self-taught developer and tech enthusiast. She is also the founder of House Designer, a platform for design services that she built by herself.[1]
Education
After studying Interior Design, she gained experience within an Architectural firm in Zürich Switzerland working on high-end residential projects.
Career
Prior to starting House Designer she previously owned a women’s wear brand for several years. The brand was featured in publications such as Vogüé, and Glamour Awards graced catwalks in various cities and stocked in over 30 outlets worldwide.[2]
Over time she found the industry to be quite hard and got out just in time before fast fashion took over.
After that, she went back to school to study interior design under the impression that it would be quite easy since it’s all about cushions and color schemes. It turned out she was wrong and it was a lot more in-depth and technical than she imagined. She enjoyed it and naturally started a business.
She founded House Designer in January 2020 and it was a perfect balance of tech and professional services.[3]
As the brand and platform continued to grow, she recently launched her second brand the Office Designer.
She loves contemporary interior style defined by simplicity whilst focusing on colors and textures.
