Pistol is a fictional character in the GoBots series. He turns from robot to pistol. He was created by the Renegade GoBot scientist Dr. Go, but defected to the Guardian GoBots.

Reception

Pistol was named number 6 on the list of "20 GoBots That Remind Us Why the GoBots Sucked So Incredibly Hard" by Rob Bricken on gizmodo.com in 2013.[1]

Comics

Pistol appeared in the Transformers: Renegade Rhetoric episode 18 story "The RoGun Ruckus" by Fun Publications. He and his fellow RoGuns Rifle and Squirt were made by Dr. Go for the Renegades, but then rebeled and joined the Guardians.[2]

Pistol appeared in episode 32, "The RoGuns of Mars". In this episode the RoGuns worked with the Secret Riders on Mars.[3]

In episode 43, "Of Rocks and RoGuns Part 1", the RoGuns responded to Boulder's Trans-Galactic Modem call for assistance. After arriving on Quartex and meeting up with Marbles, Shotgun and Pistol went to help Boulder's tribe. This brought the pair into conflict with the rockasaur Spike Stone, who was guarding the cave where Boulder's people were trapped.[4]

The RoGuns were featured in the 2016 Ask Vector Prime story Echoes and Fragments, set during the events of The Transformers: The Movie. The manipulations of the evil Gong and Sideways resulted in various GoBots swapping places with characters during the events of that film. The RoGuns took the place of Wheelie in some parts of the story.[5]
