Paladin/Chaos is a third-party Transformer made by Maketoys in 2013. He is an homage to the Transformers character The Fallen.

Maketoys

Paladin/Chaos is an homage to The Fallen made by Maketoys. He turns from robot to tank.

Maketoys Chaos has no relation to the Transformers character of the same name.

Development

In October 2011 Maketoys posted pictures of the colored Battle Tanker, Hover and Bomber as well as the prototypes of Giant and Paladin/Chaos on their web site.[1]

The Paladin/Chaos prototype was on display at Victoria Toy Fair 2011.[2]

The Paladin/Chaos prototype was displayed at the Cherry Bomb Toy Show in October 2011.[3]

A prototype of Paladin/Chaos was displayed at TFcon 2012.[4]

In October 2012 pictures of a full color Paladin/Chaos on display were posted to ACToys.[5]

Paladin/Chaos was first released in May 2013.

Reception

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for October 17th, 2011 discussed prototype images of Maketoys Paladin/Chaos and Giant in the news. One host didn't understand why it has Power Core Combiner ports.[6]

The WTF@TFW podcast for December 9th, 2011 selected pictures of Paladin/Chaos as one of the New Picture Picks.[7]

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for November 28th, 2012 discussed Paladin/Chaos as part of their Third Party Roundup.[8]

The Cybercast podcast for May 4th, 2013 discussed Maketoys Paladin/Chaos in the news.[9]

Toys

  • Maketoys MB-01C Mobine Paladin/Chaos (2013)
Paladin is an original third-party Transformer mold by Maketoys. Paladin turns from tank to robot. Paladin can utilize Power Core Combiner limbs.
Paladin also comes a recolor of Maketoys Missile Launcher, which turns from a tank into weapons for Paladin. When combined with the parts from his second tank he becomes Chaos. The tank can be used by Power Core Combiner Commanders.
