Maskrock is a fictional character from the Machine Robo series. He is one of the heroic Rock People.

Machine Robo

Maskrock is a powerful and heroic knight among the good Rock People. Maskrock is made of cristobalite. He is a trained in martial arts and can pass though solid rock with ease. He stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 1.03 tons. He carries an Impulser weapon. He sometimes pilots a Rock Commander craft. Like most Rock People he is probably immune to the effect of acid and magnetic fields which adversely affect most Machine Robo.

Fictional biography

Character and ability: Always unidentified rock superhid wearing a mask mask. Everything in the face and the past is all enigmatic. It is a wonderful martial artist, and you can change the hardness of a brush by concentrating your mind.

Weapons: Impulser Weapons like sticks that turns squish energy into power. Strength of light differs depending on strength of spiritual concentration.

Animated series

Maskrock and Magnarock were introduced in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos episode 27, "The Magic Mountain Knight Maskrock", where they defended a sacred mountain when Rom Stol's forces were pursued over it by the Gandora. Although initially standing against both sides, he was moved by Harley Robo's pleas and allowed them to pass on their mission to deliver the Metal Laster to his sick students. Baldas, Casmodon, Falgos, Gildis and Zarios were shot down by Maskrock and Magnarock.[1]

Maskrock helped protect Rubyman from the Gandora and joined Rom Stol's group in episode 35, "The Secret of the Jewel People".[2]

Maskrock lead an army of Rock People with Rock Commander craft to join the Battle Base forces in episode 36, "Cannon Fury - Save Amberman".[3]

Blackbird Robo, Blue Jet, Jeep Robo, Magnarock, Maskrock, Rod Drill, Supercar Robo and Triple Jim attended the ceremony announcing the new Land Commander 5 team in episode 37, "Critical Moment - Land Commander 5", attacking Yamalin City.[4]

In episode 38, "Raise Your Gun Helitranser", Maskrock was part of a team lead by Rom Stol which attempted to ambush Devil Satan 6 members Gillhead and Barabat in the city streets, but it ended up being a trap set by Ashura. Rom Stol lead a team which included Maskrock that opposed a Gandora group lead by Diondora that searched for an artifact near the Dragon Waterfall.[5]

Maskrock attended a meeting about the ligntning attacks at Battle Base lead by Kendo Robo in episode 39, "Full Power, Wheelman!".[6]

Crossrock and Maskrock appeared in episode 43, "Mighty Fortress, Heavenly Sword - Jet Don't Die!". They piloted a Rock Commander craft in an attack on the Varigale-X and were shot from the sky by Bloodyrock.[7]

Maskrock appeared in episode 44, "Cronos's Last Battle", where lead a group attacking the Gandora base. After shooting Gildis he forced the Gandora troops to retreat and eventually surrender.[8]

Note: Maskrock is called Logu and Masato in some English subtitles of the series.
