Growing up in Mooresville, North Carolina, he has always enjoyed Artist development, songwriting, music composition, music production, piano techniques, and overall music architecture.

Marcus Churchboi Askew is a super-producing powerhouse and TV/film composer. In the fall of 2009, He entered the industry as a session musician to Grammy Award-winning writers and producers. This led to working with artists such as Yung Joc, Day 26, Elle Varner, Jon B, Marsha Ambrosia, and Kehlani, to name a few. Also ghost-producing on two Grammy-nominated albums. Since then Marcus “Church Boi” Askew has continued to work with the industry’s top talent both in the studio and on stages as a music director across the globe.

Marcus Askew also teamed up with the super production team (Urban Rockstarz). Through that collaboration, He took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles, California, where they garnered over 150 TV/film placements with major networks VH1, BET, MTV, and even the theme song to the hit TV show R&B Divas LA.[2][3][4]
