MSL-001 Colony Lunar Type
The MSL-001 Colony Lunar Type(CLT) is the mobile suit piloted by Melissa Pollsworth, the main protagonist of After Torment: Sterne Nachte. A machine created in the colony of England, the Colony Lunar Type serves as Melissa's only means of defense against Clarissa Hollington, her abusive ex-partner and the pilot of the Heiress.
History
The Colony Lunar Type was created in the colony of England after World War II. Equipped with a special propulsion system known as the, "Mondstoß", the suit was never put to use for unknown reason, and the same goes for its creation, though it initially can be speculated that the machine was designed for civilian use.
Years later, the mobile suit would be discovered by a young girl named Melissa Pollsworth, who became its pilot in order to escape from Clarissa Hollington, a cruel, sadistic girl who had constantly tormented her.
Technology and Combat Characteristics
The Colony Lunar Type's only weapons are the "beam magnums" installed in its manipulator units. The suit's Mondstoß system is not to be confused with the Moonlight Butterfly installed in the SYSTEM ∀-99 ∀ Gundam, which goes by the same name, despite having similar effects. The Mondstoß system, when activated, functions as type of electric sail, by generating an modified I-field combined with focused plasma in the form of large beams resembling large, feathered wings, which can propel the suit at high speeds. The "wings" can also absorb the reflected light emitted from the Moon, hence its name, (which roughly translates to "lunar thrust") allowing for greater acceleration. Despite its purpose, the Mondstoß can also function as a weapon, as the I-field produced during its activation can damage any structure it comes into contact with, but only the Colony Lunar Type "Black Duchess" has demonstrated this capability. However, since both suits are somewhat different, there is a possibility that the "Black Duchess"' Mondstoß system was designed with an emphasis on combat, as is the suit itself.
The Colony Lunar Type's main armaments are its "beam magnums", miniature "directed energy weapons systems", mounted onto the suit's manipulators. They are fairly powerful, and capable of damaging a mobile suit in a few strikes, though the Colony Lunar Type can also be equipped with additional weaponry.
