Eathyron's Dozen

Aeons ago in ancient Mythoss, four brave warriors arose to combat the evils that were overrunning the land: the mighty Leodysseus, Bassylia, Xylona, and the crowned eagle Eathyron were righteous and unyielding forces of nature. Armed with the Heavensbrand, a sword bestowed with the power to purify the evil in enemies' souls, Eathyron rained down like a mighty storm of unrelenting power from the skies. Although the heroes were victorious, they faded from sight soon after their triumph. In their absence, the four great armies of modern Mythoss formed to honor their memory and to carry their noble cause forward to this very day.

Illythea's Brood

Ml-ibsymbol.png

These unnatural beings are bent on draining the very life of their enemies and making it their own. Comprised largely of vampires and other predatory species, the Brood are a rightfully-feared collection of horrors. In contrast to Xylona’s harmony with nature, Illythia’s followers will scorch the earth and raze every life in their path to accomplish their cruel ambitions.

As the first pure born vampire, Baron Volligar is ancient vampiric royalty. The product of an unholy union between Illythea and one of the elves of the First Age, Volligar is the most knowledgeable and powerful of all vampire kind. Early in the days following the disappearance of the ancient evil powers, Volligar bore a daughter named Lucretia who possessed a power that nearly matched his own. Wanting no part of leadership, Volligar spent decades training Lucretia so that she could take the mantle as leader of Illythea's Brood.
Calculating and refined, Carpathias is a warrior with unmatched precision and effectiveness. As a high ranking member of Illithya's court, he has been responsible for the annihilation of entire villages. Rather than going in directly for the kill, Carpathias prefers to paralyze his victims with a poison tipped blade, leaving them helpless as he silently drains them of life.
  • Lucretia (ML2, Female Evil Vampire Warlord)
Groomed from birth by her father, the legendary Baron Volligar, to become the leader of Illythia’s Brood, Lucretia couldn’t be more suited to her bloody reign of horror. Completely devoid of emotion or empathy, she is a callous warmonger who is all too willing to wipe out thousands as a means to her cruel ends. A bloodline descended directly from Illythia herself gives Lucretia immense power and a militant sense of responsibility that continually urges her to bring back her ancient ancestor.
One of the first to receive Illithya’s gift of eternal life as a vampire, the brutal knight Lord Edsekk became one of the first generals in Illythya’s Brood. As centuries passed and the tedium of immortality set in, Lord Edsekk was no longer satisfied with the vast powers bequeathed to him as a vampire. Edsekk's ambition drove him to seek out the dark sorcerers Azhar and Zazhar and strike a deal to obtain more power. He bartered the lives of one hundred of his men to the agents of Poxxus for an enchanted suit of armor that possessed immense power and near invulnerability. What Edsekk did not know was that he had been tricked into wearing a suit of armor infused with a parasitic spell that slowly consumed his lifeforce, causing him to vanish from inside the armor. The Blood Armor, known to the people as Vorgus Vermillius, now roams from victim to victim, leaving behind only the memory of the warriors it devours.
  • Vampire Knight (ML2, Male Vampire Knight)
  • Vampire Legion Builder (ML2, Female Vampire)

Legion of Arethyr

Ml-loasymbol.png

This army is made up of the most savage and brutal warriors that Mythoss has to offer. When given the choice between reason and blunt force, reason never wins out. Their goal is to usher in the return of their dark god.

A distant cousin of Thord Ironjaw, Bothar Shadowhorn has little in common with his heroic kin. The Shadowhorn Clan, once proudly aligned with the Army of Leodysseus, were long ago swayed by Arethyr's promises of riches and power. Bothar's insatiable thirst for blood is eclipsed only by his hatred of Thord, whose Ironjaw Clan serves as a grim reminder of what his people once were and what they have now become.
Described as a "goblin berserker" on Facebook.
The merciless commander of the Legion of Arethyr, Gorgo Aetherblade is a dark mystery even among his closest confidants. His origin is as cryptic as the identity hidden under his imposing war helmet. What is immeasurably clear are Gorgo's plans for the hellish army that he has amassed and their sole purpose: to usher the return of their master Arethyr.
Cavern Orcs, or "Shadow Orcs" as they are commonly known, are so brutal that other Orcs fear their ferocity. These grotesque inbred creatures are born deep below the surface, cursed to live a life mining for metals and forging deadly weapons. The most savage are trained for warfare and eventually make their way to the surface to fight for Arethyr. Gorthokk, a rare strategist among his people, has been chosen to represent Arethyr and to sign the evil pact known as the Covenant of Shadow.
As a former member of Attlus’ wasteland army, Jjuno the Crusher is no stranger to staring into the face of adversity. When she was a young child her family joined with Attlus the Conquerer and his band of outsiders. When her parents were killed in a skirmish with Scapular and his Sons of the Red Star, Jjuno blamed Attlus. Although Attlus tried to care for her after the loss of her parents, Jjuno left his army in search of a new home for her hatred and anger. It was only after Gorgo pulled her from an evil horde of skeleton soldiers that Juno found her new family- The Legion of Arethyr.
Facebook describes him as Thord Ironjaw's father.
Described on Facebook as "leader of the goblins".
Described as a "goblin soldier" on Facebook.
Orcs have long been loyal soldiers in the Legion of Arethyr, and it is their masses that make up the heart of Gorgo Aetherblade's dark army. When Queen Urkzaa assumed her rule of the orc nation she immediately realized that allegiance to Arethyr was essential to her people's survival. As the brutal orc general Urzokk rose to power at Gorgo's side Urkzaa's power has diminished, but with a growing army of orcs dissatisfied with their attachment to Arethyr, Urkzaa is quietly assembling her own legion bent on reclaiming command of its own destiny.
  • Snagg (ML2, Male Goblin Thief)
Described as an "evil little Goblin thief" on Facebook.
Every army needs an arsenal of weapons to carry them to victory in battle and the Legion of Arethyr is no exception. A secret weapon in his own right, Unkann is the legion's master weapon-smith. A veteran of some of the legion's bloodiest battles, his expertise has been forged in combat. Determined to supply his brethren with the tools necessary to achieve supremacy, Unkann's ongoing quest involves supplying the Legion of Arethyr with the deadliest weapons once can imagine.
  • Urzokk (ML1, Male Orc General)
Once a lowly footsoldier in the Orc ranks, Urzokk has brutally carved his way to the top. An unusually advanced intellect and a cunning disposition have secured Urzokk status as a high ranking advisor and strategist. Urzokk's efficiency and effectiveness have not only acquired him power and position, but more importantly he is one of the very few that are truly trusted by Gorgo Aetherblade.
The many legends of the Mercurian Coliseum tell of fierce battles, horrific deaths, and glorious victories, but not often mentioned in these tales of the arena are the stories of those who guard the shadowy catacombs of the coliseum – those who protect the lives of the dignitaries who come for the spectacle – those who ensure that the combatants are held in check until the time they’re called upon. The few tales that do briefly mention these loyal, but dark denizens of the Mercurian Coliseum describe them as shadows of destructive force, and warn that if you see a hint of red from the corner of your eye, or a flash of silver emerging from the darkness, your best bet would be to surrender to these black guardians.
  • Boarrior (ML2, Male)
Resilient, dirty, and tirelessly aggressive, the Boarrior are miniature battering rams for The Legion of Arethyr. Because of their predilection for muck and filth they are often sent out to tackle the most unpleasant missions the Legion has to offer. Perfectly willing to cast their cumbersome weapons aside in favor of their thick skulls and brutally massive tusks, the Boarrior are always armed, deadly, and ready to destroy anything in their way.
  • Bog Goblin (ML1, Male Evil Assassin)
Vicious and surly, the Bog Goblin is one of the most vile creatures in Mythoss. Small in size and amphibious in nature, they are well suited to hiding away in their swampland homes. Of all the Greater Goblin subspecies, this filthy breed is the most willing to serve in the armies of the dark forces. Armed with the ability to vomit a hot and sticky black bile at their enemies, Bog Goblins are feared by even the bravest warrior.
  • Goblin Legion Builder (ML2, Male Goblin)
  • Orc Legion Builder 1 (ML1, Male Orc)
  • Orc Legion Builder 2 (ML2, Female Orc)
  • Trolls
Trolls. A word that sends shivers down the spine of even the most hardened warrior. Strong enough to take down a giant and mean enough to stomp anyone that stands in their way into an unrecognizable bloody pulp, Trolls are some of the most destructive creatures in Mythoss.
With origins tracing back to the first age, Trolls are part of a family of creatures known as the impure. Distantly related to Goblins, Orcs, and Ogres, they are some of the deadliest creatures that comprise this foul family of beasts.
As if one species of Troll wasn't bad enough, there are more than two dozen types, each littering the landscape of Mythoss with its a unique brand of horror. While Ice Trolls can freeze a man with their icy breath, a single scorching blast from a Fire Troll can incinerate an entire village. Rock Trolls are born with an impenetrable flesh and their brutal savagery seems to be inversely proportional to the dullness of their intellect. Camouflage and stealthy cunning are the favorite tools of the wily Forest Troll.
On the battlefield Trolls are often enslaved and utilized by The Legion of Arethyr. Although it is less common, other factions sometimes employ Trolls for more specific and less violent purposes. It even rumored that Attlus and his house are allied with a large family of heroic Trolls who yearn for peace and prosperity.
Whatever the type and regardless of their allegiance - If a Troll is coming your way, RUN!
  • Urkku (ML1, Male Orc Evil Brute)
If Urzokk is renowned for his intellect, then the Urkku are feared adversaries for just the opposite. These mindless savages have a single-minded purpose within the ranks of Gorgo Aetherblade's army: they are the blunt force on the front lines. The Urkku act with a primal impulsiveness that feeds a loyalty specific to Urzokk more so than Gorgo or his greater cause.

Order of Eathyron

Sons of the Red Star

Ml-sotrssymbol.png

These assassins for hire are led by Skapular the Cryptbreaker. A mastery of weapons and close combat along with a thirst for money and influence unite this diverse band of cutthroats.

A complete anomaly Mercurian Coliseum, Keltus was the first and only fighter to meld magic with gladiatorial combat. Dispised by his fellow combatants yet adored by the bloodthirsty crowds, he could spectacularly level the mightiest of foes with the mere utterance of magical incantation. Once he escaped the coliseum Keltuss' fame opened many opportunities. The promise of fortune and renown ultimately lured Keltuss to join Skapular and the Sons of the Red Star.
  • Gryshaa the Slitherer (ML2, Male)
  • Pixxus (Male Skeleton)
The Mercurian army was once arguably the most effective fighting force in all of Mythoss. Pixxus was part of the army's upper echelon and fought side by side with his legendary brother in arms Vitus. Pixxus gave his life in an heroic effort to save an injured Vitus in the final battle fought by the doomed Mercurian army. After being resurrected by the same Necronominian sorcery that drained his life, Pixxus is now consumed with hatred for all that live. Resentment at being torn away from death led to his rejection of the Congregation of Necronominius. He has finally found a home among the Sons of the Red Star, where he can let his hate flow freely as he lines his coffers with gold.
Born into the Congregation of Necronominus, Skapular the Cryptbreaker is anything but loyal to his Order. Living an opulent life of greed and depravity has driven Skapular to sell his deadly services to the highest bidder. As an assassin with a mastery of every weapon imaginable, Skapular is a powerful warrior, but his wealth and influence proves even more formidable. Along with the group of killers known as The Sons of the Red Star that he has assembled, Skapular's dangerous methods possess the capability to change the outcome of many a battle.

Xylona's Flock

Ml-xfsymbol.png

This assembly of fighters gain their powers from and help protect the elements of nature that give life to the people of Mythoss. The Flock opposes and counteracts the vampiric elements in Illythia's Court, which seek to drain the life out of the world around them. Their close ties to nature and the purity of the flock keeps them connected to the great beasts and beings of the old world, granting them a certain reverence and a measure of celebrity in the modern age.

The crown has often weighed heavily on the brow of Artemyss Silverchord, the leader of Xylona’s Flock. Orphaned at the hands of Vampire assassins when she was five years old, she was raised by her Uncle Aristaeus and her Minotaur protector Asterionn. This regal warrior has spent a lifetime training to protect her people and uphold her family’s legacy. Leading her faction and serving as queen have given Artemyss a wisdom that belies her young age... and although she is tough and battle hardened, her vibrant optimism and her vision of a world free of war and despair remain an inspiration to all.
The biography for Myria Goldenbranch mentions she has been sent with an army of Whisperling soldiers to aid Queen Artemyss with a mission to surprise the dark forces that threaten all of Elven-kind.
Sworn to protect Castle Silverhorn - a fortress hidden deep in the Greentop forest, Asterionn the mighty Minotaur is the first line of defense for Xylonia’s Flock. As captain of Xylona’s guard, he is the mastermind behind the impenetrable maze of trees, branches and thorns surrounding the castle. With strength and power matched only by his purity of mind and spirit, Asterionn serves as the heart of Castle Silverhorn.
The biography for Artemyss Silverchord calls Asterionn her protector.
  • Faunus (ML2, Male Forest Elemental)
The biography for the Silverhorn Sentry mentioned they are led by the forest elemental Faunus.
An Ancient Wood elf of the first age, Lord Aristaeus Aydon serves as the stern and wise advisor to Queen Artemyss Silverchord. When Artemyss was orphaned in her formative years, it was her uncle Aristaeus that stepped up to fulfill the role of surrogate parent. Although his disposition is icy and his teachings are strict, Lord Aydon’s love for Artemyss is revealed in the fiery manner in which he protects his queen and her beloved people.
  • Myria Goldenbranch (ML2, Female Heroic Whisperling Elf Defender)
The various types of Elves in Mythoss are as diverse as the many trees that provide them quiet sanctuary. The Elves of Whispervale, or “Whisperlings” are one of the most elusive of all of the Elven sub-races. In addition to their common Elvish abilities such as agelessness and heightened dexterity and speed, the Whisperlings are remarkably proficient in the use of an arcane magic that harnesses the power of the trees around them. In a rare departure from their mysterious isolated ways, Myria Goldenbranch has been sent with an army of Whisperling soldiers to aid Queen Artemyss with a mission to surprise the dark forces that threaten all of Elven-kind.
Hailing from the tiny Dwarven town of Emberdale, deep in the Greentop Forest, Prince Orn Steelhide stands tall even amongst this unusual tribe of Dwarves. Unlike other races of Dwarves, the Emberdellians are light-footed and often spend their time moving swiftly among the tree-tops. Joyful and light-hearted, Orn is equally as comfortable leading his comrades in a raucous Emberdellian folk song as he is leading them into battle.
  • Thistlethorn (ML2, Male)
Described as a "relics master" on Facebook.
The biography for Eathyron mentions four brave warriors arose to combat the evils that were overrunning the land: the mighty Leodysseus, Bassylia, Xylona, and the crowned eagle Eathyron were righteous and unyielding forces of nature.
  • Bronze Dwarf Legion Builder (ML1, Male Dwarf)
  • Elf Legion Builder (ML2, Male Elf)
  • Elf Ranger (ML2, Male Elf)
  • Silver Dwarf Legion Builder (ML1, Male Dwarf)
  • Silverhorn Sentry (Male)
The guard of Castle Silverhorn is divided into three units: the Beast Guard of the outer perimeter, the Sentries of the outer wall, and the Royal Guards who protect the castles' interior. Although Asterionn is captain of the entire Silverhorn Guard, the Silverhorn Sentry are led by the forest elemental Faunus. Equipped with an intimate knowledge of the castle's natural construction and how to harness ancient magic to manipulate that construction as both an offensive and defensive tool, the Silverhorn Sentry are a crucial line of defense when protecting the castle and its Queen.
Two head options come with the Silverhorn Sentry. In Mythic Legions Book 1 two Senties are seen, one with each head.
