Lamont Curtis Bracy, better known as Renzo or LB, is an American author, songwriter, record executive, entrepreneur, and director.  In 2013, Lamont wrote and directed the stage play, Let Love In, a theatrical production which brought critical acclaim from beat writers globally. Lamont Bracy is credited for many literary and musical compositions under the pseudonym Renzo. In addition to contributing to an array of entertainment platforms, His long awaited debut novel, “The Insignificant, Significant”, was released in August 2021.

Early Life

Lamont Curtis Bracy was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on May 24, 1975,  the son of Emily D. Bracy, and George T. Bracy Jr., a US Army supply sergeant.  Lamont has a younger brother, Jermaine, and a younger sister, Tynisa Peterson. Lamont was raised a Baptist. As a child, he was a fan of hip hop and rhythm and blues, but in 1984, he became infatuated with Michael Jackson’s Thriller album. Lamont took the stage name “Renzo” after being told his singing style was similar to Luke Records recording artist Lorenzo Smith.

Career

Lamont Renzo Bracy began his career in entertainment as an journalist and author known for creating controversial reads on topics ranging from world views, humanitarian, socio economic, and entertainment. From contributing to the HuffPost, Medium, and many local news organizations, Renzo became known as an authority amongst his peers. As CEO of ProMediaBank, Renzo 1 Entertainment Group, and numerous entertainment conglomerates expanding the realms of technology and social science, Renzo is recognized in the industry as one of the leading tastemakers pushing the culture forward. Lamont wrote the foreword for celebrity chef Shawnae Dixon cookbook, With this Plate I Thee Wed..., released in 2017 by Amazon Publishing.

Lamont oversees Wazzup Media Group Operations and Promotional development activities. Lamont has worked at the forefront of media and technology convergence in his entertainment career as an executive, entrepreneur, and producer. Lamont's primary function includes, but is not limited to the initial branding and development of new talent. In the role as Director of Promotions, Lamont’s main objective is to maximize commercial and strategic opportunities while creating new revenue streams, forming alliances, and assisting with the overall infrastructure of Wazzup Media Group.

As of November of 2021, Lamont Renzo Bracy was named as Director of Public Relations for Kandiidapp. In addition Renzo serves as a contributing author for Sho-TimeTv and The Hype Magazine.

Personal Life

Lamont is married to Equinda and is the father of two daughters, Elizabeth and Chantel, and one stepson, Donovan.
