Most of his free time is spent working from his home studio on various music projects. Born and raised in Owosso, Michigan on July 28 1976 and has since lived all along the East coast USA, from Florida to Maine. Jim was the youngest of 5 siblings growing up, as well as 2 younger siblings from his father's side later in his teenage years. His mother passed away in the early 90's, as well as his sister in early 2000's. He had found his passion for playing guitar in his early teens when he had started playing with his oldest brother, Barrett's guitars. He had been a drummer since grade school, but guitar started becoming more of his thing at this time. He locked hisself in a room and spent hours every day learning to play, reading stacks of old guitar magazines and theory books. With all the hardships experienced at that time, playing guitar and music, naturally, became an obsession and escape for him. Jim's musical development started early in the 5th grade as a drummer at school, and he went on to perform various concerts, parades, festivals, competitions all through high shcool. As well as music, he was active in sports like: football, wrestling, and BMX racing/street/vert. At 15 years old he appeared in BMX Plus magazine for competing in a Matt Hoffman Bicycle Stunts Contest at Stonehenge SkatePark in Daytona, Florida. At 16 years old he had set a school record for squatting 375lbs for his weight class. At 19 years old (1996), with no money and nowhere to live, and no real plan, he moved to Tampa, Florida; because it was known as the death metal capitol back then. He lived, worked, and played in local bands in the Tampa, Bay area where he experienced some difficult years; until around 2003-2004. At that time he moved to Augusta, Maine, to play in the band Necropia. This would be where he would meet his girlfriend of 16 years, which they are still together today. In 2008 he moved to Jacksonville, Florida to play with the band Cystic Dysentery where he spent 9 years working with the band. In recent years Jim has released a huge collection of albums and music spanning multiple genres, and has traveled around the world performing in Portugal, Mexico, New York, Chicago, etc.
