Dr Jalil Ahmad (born in 1949) is an electrochemical engineer, contractor, politician, and advocate. Dr. Jalil Ahmad has held a vision of serving humanity since his childhood. He decided to implement his vision by advocating and bringing forth an idea to form a global political party through his book, Global Political Party for Self-empowerment. His mission is to see a united and empowered globe where all the individuals, regardless of their caste, color, culture, gender, national origin, religion, and distinctive beliefs, have an equal right to obtain quality education and career opportunities. He emphasizes investing in Human Development and Empowerment. Empowerment through political freedom (a lottery or Jury-like system), educational options without hindrance, and business opportunities through citizens' right to access capital.

Education

Dr. Jalil received his undergraduate degree in physics, mathematics, and chemistry. Following his undergraduate degree, Ahmad attended Karachi University in Pakistan from 1969 to 1971, where he received his Master’s Degree in chemistry. The following year, he started teaching physical chemistry to undergraduate students at Jinnah Degree College, Karachi, Pakistan. In 1976, he went to the U.S.A. on a student visa to be an asset to his family. There, he did the research fellowship at the American University, Washington, DC, and pursued Master's and Ph.D. degrees in electrochemistry. At the end of 1979, he received his Masters and Ph.D. degrees from the American University of Washington DC. Energy Research Corporation then hired him in Danbury, Connecticut, as an electrochemical engineer.

Career

Dr. Jalil Ahmad is an advocate of empowerment and freedom. Therefore, in 1971, he served as a lecturer at Jinnah Degree College, located in Karachi, Pakistan. Afterward, he moved to Rawalpindi and was hired as a production engineer in the printed circuit board production department at Carrier Telephone Industries, a joint venture of Siemens and Pak T&T, Islamabad, Pakistan. Due to his outstanding performance, he was soon promoted to the company's assistant production manager of electronic components. While serving this position, Ahmad realized that workers were not getting their due right. Hence, he became the chairman of the workers' union. He fought for their demands in every way possible. After serving for a significant time as a chairman, he moved to the U.S.A. in 1976 to advance his experience. As a research fellow, Ahmad got a fixed monthly allowance from the U.S. Government and hence was financially independent of financing his education and other expenses. After completing his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees, he worked as an electrochemical engineer in Energy Research Corporation. Later, he joined another company E.I.C. Lab as a marketing director in Norwood, Massachusetts. However, he then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, due to family needs. Since there was no Research and Development Lab in Phoenix, he decided to start looking for other opportunities. He found out that construction is a booming business in Phoenix during his research. Still, he neither has a construction contractor license nor any construction experience to start a construction business. He decided to gain construction knowledge and experience by building his own home, and therefore he built a 5000 sq. ft single-family home with a basement. The basement was not a common feature in Phoenix, but he needed to use it as his business office and take care of three small children. The house was constructed with steel studs and not wood. He did not know if there was any other residential house built with the steel in Phoenix at that time. This was a unique experience. He had gained significant knowledge of construction by the time the house was completed. To start a construction business, he lacked a construction contractor license. To overcome this hurdle, he decided to obtain construction contracts from the U.S. Government because no licenses were required to win the U.S. Government Construction Contracts. He found out about the licensing requirement when working as a marketing Director at E.I.C. Lab and interacting with the government contracting officers in research and development areas. He was awarded his first government contract for a project in Galveston, Texas, in 1989. He then continued bidding and winning the U.S. Government projects.

By 1996, Ahmad had gained enough experience in defense construction projects. His business ran well. However, his urge to serve society was still there. Therefore, he decided to run for the U.S. Senate election in Illinois. Though he had no prior experience in elections and politics, Ahmad still managed to learn the basics of the electoral system. He became a candidate, contested the election. Soon after, Dr.Jalil Ahmad suffered a great loss in his business due to his divided attention after becoming a politician. It was a huge setback in his life. Therefore, he dropped the idea of being a politician and became a private contractor in Arizona. He felt his prime responsibility was to take care of his family members. He and his wife worked hard to raise four children, and when his children completed their education, they became professionals and financially independent. He decided to carry out his vision of fairness and empowerment through political freedom, excellence in education, and citizens' right to access to capital. Believing and realizing that most of the major problems in the world are global problems, and national regulations cannot solve these global problems. It requires global regulations. Therefore, he proposed that countries of the world should form a union, i.e., the United Nations of Globe (U.N.G.), such as the U.S.A., a union of 50 states, and the European Union, formed by 28 countries. U.N.G. should be managed by nations' representatives and also govern the globe with a united military force of member nations under its command. U.N.G will be different than U.N.O because it can implement its resolutions using all means including military, penalize rouge nations/leaders including membership cancellation, qualified civil and military officers will be selected by an unbiased lottery system, majority vote of the council will prevail, no veto power, etc.

To do so, he took the first step in this direction by establishing a "Global Political Party for Self-Empowerment," in the United States. Now, he expects others to form more global political parties in other parts of the world so that elected office bearers should represent all the people of the globe rather than just a few selected people of the globe. He believes that politics will also be globalized soon, just as the economy, human interactions, communication, etc. did.

He believes that for democracy to flourish and build the general public's confidence, elections must be fair, unbiased, and uncontrolled. Public polls show that a very high percentage of voters worldwide want to see term limits for their elected representatives and the substantial reduction of the role of money in the elections. That is the reason his global political party for self-empowerment will adopt a lottery or jury-like system. This will provide an equal opportunity to all its members to serve by putting their names for the party nomination in the lottery. The person who the lottery picks up will become the party's candidate. This way, there will be no money involved in the candidate nomination. This lottery-picked nominee will undergo a rigorous election training program to be a very effective candidate against other parties' candidates. If elected, there is almost no chance for the same person to win the lottery again (for a 2nd term) and, therefore, will serve only for one term. He has emphasized attaining a fair election system, 21st-century quality education, and skills, and opting for better career opportunities for today's young generation through citizens' right to access to capital will enable them to utilize their capabilities to the fullest and bring about prosperity and financial security.

Dr. Jalil Ahmad currently resides in California with his wife; she's a physician and has been serving in the field of medicine for more than 40 years. They are parents of four successful individuals who practice their passions in their respective fields. Memberships and Committees

Before moving to the U.S.A., Dr. Jalil Ahmad became the chairman of the workers' union and served his fellows for many years. He believed in workers' right to fair wages, safe workplaces, and profit-sharing. He now wants investment in human development, empowerment of the masses, and a fair, unbiased, and uncontrolled election system.
