TFC Toys
The Iron Army is a team of four characters made by TFC Toys as add-ons for the Power Core Combiners toy line. They were depicted during promotion together with Heavy Tread and Bombshock, but work with any Commander Class combiner.
Development
When teased at Botcon 2011, the Iron Army were called "WWII ROBOTS".[1]
Steel Brigade was previewed at the Third Party Panel at TFcon 2011.[2]
Unlike normal Power Core Combiner limbs they do not auto-transform and they have individual robot modes.
The box for the Rage of the Hercules set advertises the Iron Army set.
Reception
The WTF@TFW podcast for December 1st, 2011 selected pictures of the Iron Army as one of the New Picture Picks.[3]
