Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR) is the ester of tretinoin which is available in the form of a yellow HPR powder. APICDMO is the largest manufacturer of Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate in China, producing 1000 kilograms (kg) per month.

Description

HPR is a form of retinoid and was discovered recently. It is used to treat skin issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation, blemishes, and so on. Another name of HPR is granactive retinoid and because retinoid is oxidized so it causes less skin irritation.

Uses

It is also being widely used because of its small molecular size which keeps it well dispersed in topical agents, creams, and essence before it is applied to the skin. This dispersion is essential for the stability of the compound which, in turn, is needed for the best results. Moreover, this small size of the oxidized retinoid is beneficial in the deep penetration of the compound into the skin, helping heal the skin and reverse the photodamage from the inside.

The powder is yellow in color and is used by cosmetic and skincare manufacturers. The manufacturers use it to produce anti-aging topical agents, acne-treating, and essences.
