Hornet is a fictional character in the GoBots series. He is an evil Renegade GoBot introduced in 1986.

GoBots

Abilities

Like most GoBots, Hornet has numerous abilities because of his robotic body. He can survive in space and is super-humanly strong and tough. He can fly in robot mode and project energy blasts from his hands. His body heals quickly when supplied with energy. He can turn into a jet.

Animated series

A long serving Renegade since at least the aftermath of the first revolt, Hornet took command of a Thruster during the disastrous raid on Gobotron - the Guardians lured the bulk of the Renegade fleet into a trap, and inflicted heavy losses.

Later Hornet would be part of the force taken down to the surface of Cordax by Cy-Kill, helping with the initial rout of Boulder's troops.

Hornet appeared in the Challenge of the GoBots Season 2 episode 7-8 story "The Hawks of Space", where he helped defend the Renegade base on the dark side of the moon.
