The story of Himalayan Dream Treks begins in the charming town of Uttarkashi, where the magnificent Himalayas served as a daily backdrop. The founder, inspired by the beauty of the peaks, always wondered what it would be like to see them from the top and explore the mysteries they held.

Life led the founder to work at a local guest house to support their family. However, fate took a turn when they encountered students from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM). Seeing their gear and adventurous spirit ignited a spark, prompting the decision to pursue a career centered around mountains.

Financial constraints initially posed challenges to taking mountaineering courses, but the dream persisted. For nearly a decade, the founder worked in the hospitality industry while holding onto the dream of mountain exploration.

In 2015, a bold decision was made to leave a stable job and return to the Himalayas. Working as a freelance guide and porter for two years, the founder overcame challenges and fulfilled the dream by completing mountaineering courses in 2018.

In 2019, Himalayan Dream Treks was established in Uttarkashi. With a dedicated team, the mission was clear – to make the Himalayan paradise accessible to everyone. The belief was that these mountains not only offered unmatched beauty but also a spiritual essence and endless adventure.[1]

Himalayan Dream Treks specializes in organizing treks to a variety of picturesque destinations, including Dayara Bugyal, Gaumukh Tapovan, KedarKantha, [Kush Kalyan], Gidara Bugyal, Dodital, Auden's Col, Kalindi Khal, Adi Kailash, and Om Parvat Yatra. Additionally, we offer a range of other captivating treks in Himachal, Nepal, and Ladakh, providing adventure enthusiasts with diverse and breathtaking experiences across these stunning regions.[2]

History

Founded in 2019 in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, Himalayan Dream Treks (HDT) has been organizing treks in the stunning Himalayan regions of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Nepal, and Ladakh since then.

Beyond the incredible treks, Himalayan Dream Treks has ventured into diverse endeavors. We hosted the Sailum Martial Arts Academy training camps in 2021 and 2022 in Gidara Bugyal and Shastratal.

Excitingly, HDT received the esteemed Tripadvisor Traveler's Choice award in both 2022 and 2023, a recognition of our dedication to delivering exceptional trekking experiences.[3]

In our mission to protect the Himalayas from plastic pollution, we organize cleanups during treks. It's a collective effort involving our team, trekkers, and volunteers to preserve the beauty of these mountains.

In 2023, HDT took things a step further by teaming up with Decathlon to host a training camp, providing enthusiasts with a great chance to improve their outdoor skills and knowledge.

Adding more excitement to their lineup, HDT successfully put together the Gaumukh Marathon in October 2023.[4] This event offered participants a unique and thrilling experience against the backdrop of the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.
