A redirect is a special kind of page that takes visitors to an entirely different page. Redirects are created using this syntax:

#REDIRECT [[Target page]]

where Target page is the name of the page to redirect to. It is also possible to redirect to a specific section within a page, for example

#REDIRECT [[Target page#Section name]]

will redirect to the section Section name on Target page.

Note that redirects to pages that do not exist should be flagged for speedy deletion immediately.
