Heavy Labor is a fictional character made by TFClub in 2011 as a third party Transformer. He is an homage to the 1985 Transformers Constructicon Long Haul. Reprolabels made a label set for Heavy Labor that makes it look more like Generation 1 Long Haul.

Transformers

Heavy Labor is a third party Transformer and an homage to the Constructicon Long Haul. He combines with the other toys in his line to form Hercules, an homage to Devastator.[1]

Heavy Labor is incredibly strong and tough, very brave and has a good amount of firepower, but is also amazingly slow.

Heavy Labor is not the only third party Transformer homage to Long Haul, there is also Maketoys Dump Truck.

Development

Prototype photos of Heavy Labor displayed it combined with Classic Scrapper and Bonecrusher as leg extensions.[2]

Although sold as Heavy Labor, early displays of the toy's prototype advertised it as Heavylabor.[3]

Heavy Labor was previewed at the Third Party Panel at TFcon 2011.[4]

Promotional photos for Hegemon were done comparing it to Heavy Labor among other toys.

In December of 2011 promotional photos of a Third Party League Skyfire homage compared it to Heavy Labor.[5]

In March of 2012 a poll was held on behalf of TFClub on the TFW2005 forums asking what the recolor of Hercules should be. The winner was "Shattered Glass".[6]

In August of 2012, TFClub displayed the first example of a Shattered Glass inspired Hercules recolor called Perses.[7]

Toys

  • TFClub Hercules Heavy Labor (2011)
An original third party Transformer mold. He forms the lower torso of Hercules. Came with two guns and a collector card.
This release sometimes came with a replacement part for Exgraver's shovel, which was too tight on the original figure.
Initial releases of Hasvy Labor suffered from a tight hip joint that would strip with normal use. A fix for the problem was issued on the Robot Kingdom Facebook page.[8]
  • Reprolabels Classic Long Haul (2012)
A label set meant to make Heavy Labor look more like the Constructicon Long Haul.[9]
  • TFClub Hercules Heavy Labor reissue (2012)
A reissue of Heavy Labor was done in 2012, with the hip fixed and an altered box.[10]
  • TFClub Perses Heavy Labor (not released yet)
A recolor of Heavy Labor in white and red, inspired by Shattered Glass Long Haul.
