Hauler is a fictional character from the Transformers series. Although introduced in 1984, he didn't have a toy until 2003.

Transformers: Generation 1

Hauler appeared in one episode of the original Transformers television series, in vehicle mode only. Nearly 20 years later Japanese exclusive company ehobby released a toy of him. Since then he's make minor cameos in Transformers fiction.

Equipped with a variety of exploratory devices and a crane arm capable of lifting objects up to 60 tons. Also capable of launching off both hands and guiding them through the air by remote control. Millions of years ago, Hauler was a member of the Construction team for the Cybertronian metropolis of Crystal City. After losing his teammates in an attack by Megatron, he joined the Autobot forces. Since awakening on Earth with Optimus Prime and the others, he has taken full-time to his original purpose of securing energy resources, for which he now travels throughout the world. A highly capricious self-expressionist, he frequently changes or restores his coloration and optional equipment.

Hauler is among the Autobots present when Megatron attacks Iacon with his new weapon, Devastator.[1]

Transformers: Mosaic

Hauler appeared in the unofficial Transformers Mosaic story "The Missing Piece" by Juan “Iskander77” Pablo Osorio. In this story he was hunted on Earth by the Constructicons who wanted him to form part of Devastator, but he was saved by Omega Supreme.[2]
