Hasan Hamid is a Bangladeshi author, poet and columnist.  

Early life and education

Hamid was born on 24 October, 1988 in Abidnagar, Sunamganj District, Bangladesh. His father, Abdul Hamid, was a school teacher and his mother Mansura Khanam is a homemaker. He studied at Tahirpur Government High School, Sylhet Murari Chand College and Dhaka University.[1] 

Works

He is best know for his poem ‘Bangabandhu’[2][3] and his novel Chehel Setun.[4][5][6][7] His most recent book is 'Dagal', published in 2021, is about the liberation war.[8][9]

Hamid is a frequent newspaper contributor in Bangladesh[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19] and also in USA, Philippines, India and Belgium.[20][21][22][23][24][25] He writes regularly about education issues.[26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45] Hamid is becoming popular among the readers by writing in simple language, about the various personal and social problems of the people, which are related to the national problems.[46][47][48][49][50][51][52][53][54][55][56][57][58][59][60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76][77][78][79][80][81][82][83][84][85][86] He has written numerous articles during the Corona virus crisis.[87][88][89][90][91][92][93][94][95][96][97][98]
