INTRODUCTION

Gravitational-Based Energy Storage Invention

Climate-change revolutionized our Earth, to make huge steps into a greener and more energy efficient future where our children can grow up in a better, greener and safer future.

Because of fossil-energy, carbon-mining, we are using continuously the sources of our Earth and destroy our sensitive economy.

In 2018 our Family have invented a rack and pinion based, Gravitonal-method energy storage system.

The inventor is Mr.Szikra Kálmán from Hungary who realized that, we can store the excess energy from the sun and the wind, if we build structures from beton and concrete with a rack and pinion solution below-and upper the ground with a regulatory system.

The working method is as simple as it can be: With a rack and pinion solution, if we move a weight on a structure up-it will work as an Electric-motor, and moving down- as a generator.

MATH

It’s includes a weight, an electric motor with a gear, an electromechanical brake which used as a generator, an inverter which is connected to the electric motor, a control unit in signal connection, the column passes through the middle of the weight, there’s a linear bearing between the weight and the column, the column is vertical, and its lower end is dug into the ground, the upper part of the column is significantly higher than the weight.

COMPONENTS

I. Weight

II. Vertical Column

III. Electric Motor

IV. Electromechanical Brake

V. Gear

VI. Rack

VII. Gear Wheel

VIII. Drive Shaft(via Bearings)

IX. Supporting Units

WORKING METHOD

There’s a rack on the upper part of the column, the teeth of a gear wheel are connected to rack.

The gearwheel is attached to the drive-shaft,two supporting units are connected to the drive-shafts.

Two supporting units are attached to the weight and the gear-wheel is located between them.

One end of the drive-shaft is connected to the shaft of the electric motor.(Via the gear Unit)

The electric motor is attached to the weight, the components of the system are surrounded with cement/concrete.

The cover is protected against weather circumstances, dust, water and acoustically insulated.

The control unit has a signal connection with the electromechanical brake and the inverter.
