Goldminer is a fictional character and third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Landmine and Lander made by Play With This Too. He is an intergalactic hero.

Goldminer is an intergalactic heroic character created by Play With This Too. He is a member of the Protectors and has a Tech Drone partner who can become a scout car.

Development

Goldminer was designed by Rik Alvarez and Mark Wong.

Art for Goldminer was first revealed at Rhode Island Comic Con. 2014.

Ankhor, Astroblast and Goldminer were initially announced to be stretch goals in the Lost Protectors Kickstarter, but they did not end up being among those goals when the campaign was launched.

Reception

The Repacked Podcast podcast for October 28th, 2014 discussed Aaron Archer and Simon Furman joining Play With This Too as well as the toys of Goldminer and Jetwash in the news. One host loved the designs, but another worried that Hasbro would not allow them to go forward with the Kickstarter.[1]

The Cybercast podcast for November 1st, 2014 talked about Bloodbath, Flarestrike and Goldminer in the news.[2]

Fictional biography

Goldminer is a member of the Lost Protectors. He wears a living Aegis armor powered by the primal forces of the universe. It grants him enhanced strength, durability, longevity and the ability the fly, as well as having numerous weapons. He has a Tech Drone companion.

Toys

A 6 inch tall articulated figure with interchangeable hands and heads. He has numerous 5mm connector ports.
Comes with a sword, rifle, drill, handlebar and Tech Drone partner.
Goldminer shares some parts with Ankhor, Astroblast, Ironstrike, Landmass and Mainsail.
