Francis Nijim (Arabic: نجم فرنسيس; born February 15, 1996) is an Israeli pediatrician and actor, best known for his lead role in the Arabic adaptation of the American legal drama series Suits.[1] Nijim portrays Harvey Specter, originally played by Gabriel Macht, in the series that premiered during Ramadan 2023.[2]

Early life and education

Francis Nijim was born in Nazareth, Israel. He was raised in a Christian family and showed early interests in sports and music, learning to play football and the piano during his childhood. Nijim has two siblings, Fauzi and Venis.[3] He completed his primary education at Silvatorian Sister School in Nazareth and graduated from high school in 2014. In 2017, he moved to Italy to study acting at the Milan Film Academy, from which he graduated in 2020.[4]

Career

Nijim first gained recognition in the medical field as a pediatrician before venturing into acting. His acting career took a significant turn in 2022 when he starred in the Ramadan drama Houria on Echorouk TV.[5] Following this, he landed the role of Harvey Specter in the Arabic version of Suits, which garnered him wider acclaim. He has expressed his commitment to maintaining authenticity in his acting career despite the fame.[6]
