It is believed that the use of this non-free image from http://www.ln-online.de/nachrichten/3366150/eisstau-auf-der-elbe-ueberflutung-droht on the article [[Keiler ]] qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Justification offered for fair use: In February 2012 the upper reaches of the Elbe were beset by the worst ice-jams since 1987. Icebreakers normally stationed on the lower Elbe were dispatched to try to slowly and carefully break up 20 kilometers of ice dams. The vessels don't normally work in concert, as they are here, and, since jams this large only occur every couple of decades I thought I would assert "fair use". Fair use on this image would probably be challenged on the wikipedia -- but I have thought fair use was an area where the wikipedia tries to be "more catholic than the pope".
