Erik Zamudio (December 15, 1991) is an American internet entrepreneur best known for his work as CEO of the exclusive content platform, Roll.[1]

Early life and Education

In his early career, he studied at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. During his final year at the university, he co-founded the scanning technology company, Mirror, with his friend and roommate Patrick Henke.

Career

Erik Zamudio joined the fashion technology startup WeStyle as the Head of User Acquisition and Growth, where he spent nearly two years growing the user base to more than 250,000 active users. As WeStyle began to lose customers due to Instagram’s in-app purchase feature, Zamudio co-founded Fooji with his WeStyle counterpart, Gregg Morton.

Through his work with Fooji, Zamudio was nominated and received several awards, including The Emmy Awards, The Cannes Lions Awards, The AdAge Awards, The Webby Awards, The CLIO Awards, and more. His work also earned him a position as a featured honoree on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List in 2020.

After his time at Fooji, he served as a co-founder of the popular camera app, David’s Disposable (now known as Dispo). The team quickly grew the app to more than 2.5MM users, secured the #1 spot in Apple’s App Store, and eventually went on to raise a round of funding at a $200MM valuation.

The quick success of David’s Disposable gave Zamudio and his team the leverage needed to continue to build within the creator economy. Their latest venture, known as Roll, allows fans to get an inside look at their favorite creator and celebrity’s camera roll. The app launched in early 2022, quickly earning the #3 position in the Apple App Store and gaining the interest of the largest creators in the world. Some of the featured talent involved with Roll include Noah Schnapp, Roddy Ricch, Sommerray, Tana Mongeau, David Dobrik, Diplo, and more.
