Ellen Alexander was born in Moscow, Russia in 1983.[1] Born and raised in Russia’s megacity, Moscow, Ellen is living her life in such an extraordinary way. [2] Moscow, being the country’s industrial, cultural, scientific, and educational capital fostered little Ellen to be all the woman that she is today.

Early Life

Born to a family of scientists, Ellen’s grandfather played a pivotal role in the development of the Russian Space Program. But as a child, she was very well exposed to all forms of art. She attended music school, did painting, and even tried ballet in her younger years. When she was five years old, she began appearing on TV commercials and some select kid’s channels.

Inevitably, the pretty face the younger Ellen has was just too much to go unnoticed. But since Ellen’s exposure to science was influential, her interest in chemistry, physics, and biology was evident too. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, she’d say scientist in a heartbeat. Ellen was meaning to find a cure for cancer when she was little.

Education

Her growing years were eloquently spent. Ellen attended a university where she majored in International Business and Law. [3] She actively participated in debates and other relevant competitions. She was once a part of a project that looked into presenting economic models to government officials. More than the pretty face, Ellen was making quite an impression in her studies too. But just how a flower is expected to bloom, so did she.

Elena trained further to improve her skills. She went to Chekhov Moscow Arts theatre school, a Russian repertory company founded in 1897 by Constantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko. It is well known for creating fresh theatrical production concepts that paved the way for modern theatre.

Acting Career

In 2002, Ellen played the role of Anastasia in the mini TV series Law of the Lawless. The following year, she was cast for the role of Svetlana in Poor Anastacia. [4] The series reached international success and was shown in more than twenty countries worldwide. Equipped with a strong sense of independence, Ellen set herself to greater heights to live the life she ought to be living. She was able to perform at the world's largest arts festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland, United Kingdom. She received good reviews when she played the role of Phoebe in J. D. Salinger’s best selling and controversial novel The Catcher in the Rye. [5]

In 2013, she was cast in the reality TV show the Gold Diggers and participated in a few more recent projects. She has cast a minor role in A Mother’s Sacrifice and White Famous in 2017 and Women on the Edge in 2018. Her acting career was quite a disarray but that didn’t stop her from making her own path.

Modeling Career

Not long after, she found herself in the modeling industry. While it was not an easy journey for her, Ellen worked hard to do well. Her first few years in New York was quite challenging because of the language barrier. Only then when she learned the language better did she start landing on jobs. The modeling industry was notably competitive but Ellen saw the beauty in it. It motivated her to always do better and think of new ways on how to be able to express herself on another level. She continued to train and enroll in various courses that enabled her to earn a spot as today’s one of the most bankable models. She has traveled the world and completed projects in Russia, Europe, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. [6] Ellen had the chance to strut her way to the Elite Models fashion a project that required professional experience and discipline.

She was in a lot of product and fashion magazine covers too. Her most recent magazine covers include that of FHM, Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, Maxim Belgium, Marie Claire, and L’Officiel. [7] [8] But being the assertive person that she is, Ellen also trained to be able to work in front and behind the camera. She was able to produce and film videos that embodied character-driven projects alongside fashion-oriented promotional videos. Without forgetting her love for acting despite the shift in career, Ellen even enrolled in the New York Film Academy where she completed additional training for improvisation, drama and comedy.

Singing Career

Recently, Ellen released her first digital single Shadows over Spotify. [9] The fact that she can write her own music is just proof of how multi-faceted this woman really is. Equipped with the right mindset and tenacity, Ellen is set to do things her way whatever happens. Empowered with self-love and respect, there is no stopping the woman that she is today in achieving her goals in life. It sure took her so much to be living her dream, enough reason why she is making the best out of it.
