David Simas

David Simas is the CEO of the Obama Foundation.[1][2]
Early life and education
Simas was raised in Taunton, Massachusetts by Portuguese parents who fled the dictatorship in Portugal and later became naturalized US citizens. He read political science at Stonehill College and earned a JD from Boston College Law School.
Career
Simas joined the Obama Administration in 2009 working with senior advisers David Axelrod and David Plouffe. Simas served as director of opinion research during the re-election campaign. During Obama’s second term, Simas served as Assistant to the President and director of the office of political strategy and outreach.
Personal life
Simas is married, and has 2 daughters.
