Dark Tyrant
The Dark Tyrant is a fictional weapon and third-party Transformer homage to the Dark Star Saber created by Dr. Wu in 2013.
Dr. Wu
The Dark Tyrant is a third-party Transformer sword accessory made by Dr. Wu. It was released in several colors. The sword resembled the Dark Star Saber used by Megatron in Transformers: Prime and used by Nemesis Prime in Transformers: Devastation.
Development
Dr. Wu first posted concept images of the Dark Tyrant on his Weibo page in April 2013.[1]
The black version of the Dark Tyrant was released in July 2013.
Reception
The moonbase2 podcast for April 24th, 2013 covered the DW-TP09 in the news.[2]
