Background

Damon was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. His parents were immigrants who came from Vietnam during the war to the United States via a sponsorship program for refugees. They had quite humble beginnings backed by government funding for public housing and food. Sometimes, their whole dining table was just a box flipped upside down.

Education and Career

Damon studied Information Technology and has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Southern Methodist University, from where he graduated in 1999. During his seventeen-year tenure at Microsoft, he assumed a number of different roles within the Microsoft Services organization. In his first role as a Technical Account Manager, Damon served as a liaison and customer advocate for Microsoft's Fortune 1000 customers in the Central Region. A few years later, he transitioned into a Resource Manager role and aided Microsoft's internal field teams by providing delivery solutions for the Services organization. In his last role at Microsoft as a US Services Program Director, he was responsible for driving and managing the Preferred Services Partner program for the US subsidiary; a program with approximately seventy-five partner organizations and a total book of business of over $90 million in revenue.

Achievements

Damon has enjoyed a decorated career in the corporate world at Microsoft in which he worked for seventeen years. He left Microsoft to pursue his aspirations of starting his own technology business and has been working as a founder in the blockchain industry for the past six years. During this time, his startups have been able to raise and generate millions in funding and revenue.
