Damarea Ogbuewu (/ˌdːamˈɑːneə ˈog-deeu)ː/;born August 8, 2005) is a Nigerian-American singer, author, and the first American to be honored as a member of China's Artist Association. Her work focuses on women's empowerment, culture, family and language. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, Ogbuewu became the first American and first African to be a member of a Chinese Association. In May of 2022, Ogbuewu announced a debut single, Can't Have It.
