Daizo Amachi

"All my life, I wanted to be a great inventor. But, my family wouldn't allow it. They told me that I'd never amount to anything if I went down this path. So, I did the only reasonable thing any kid would do, and ran away. I ran as fast as I ever ran before. I made sure to never look back. I had to fend for myself in the harsh streets of Tokyo. One day, I met Machiko's mother, and a few years later, we got married and had Machiko. When she got older, I realized that she wouldn't be capable of defending herself without my help. So, I wanted to give her something special. Something that would keep her safe in this cruel world. I spent the next few days building a giant robot for her. Machiko said she wanted something "more powerful", so I made more robots, each one stronger than the last. I don't plan on destroying the world. I raised my daughter this way because I want her to be safe. Is that too much to ask?"-Daizo's speech.
